The purpose of the symposium is to:

  • Raise awareness in the community to the services of the JD Breast Cancer Foundation
  • Raise additional funds for supportive services provided by the Foundation for minority underserved and/or underinsured breast cancer survivors
  • Promote a healthy lifestyle among survivors and their family members

This symposium will provide an opportunity for younger survivors to come together, educate themselves, participate in fun and relaxing activities that culminates in a race for the entire community.

Registration for this exciting event will begin September 1st.  In keeping with our mission to provide supportive services for women regardless of income, scholarships to the symposium will be available.  In addition, although the focus is on “young” survivors, survivors of all ages are welcome.
